Judith Carpenter, Conversation Team Volunteer...is a volunteer in the Greenfire community who lives with her husband, Jack, in Rockland, Maine, near three of her four children and all six of her grandchildren. She is an Episcopal priest, was a founding member of Greenfire, and was on the staff until June 2006. Copies of her 1995 Doctor of Ministry thesis, Greenfire – A Work in Progress: Reflections on the Story of an Emerging Feminist Liberation Community, are available for purchase at our “corner store.”
Alison Cheek, Conversation Team Volunteer...has been involved with the life at Greenfire since its inception. She chaired the Department of Feminist Theology at the Episcopal Divinity School, was ordained a priest in 1973, and has been a pastoral counselor for many years. She volunteers on the Conversation and Work Vision team and is on the Greenfire board.
Roseann Costello, Development Coordinator...is a resident of Belfast and a former business owner. She comes to Greenfire as the Development Coordinator, with a professional background in fund-raising and special events. Her spirits soar when she is swimming and hiking, and her interests are photography and horticulture.
Connie Chandler-Ward, Conversation Team Staff...is one of the founders of Greenfire, an Episcopal priest and is part of the team that offers Conversations and Work Visions. Connie spent ten years as the interfaith chaplain at Wellesley College. She has two grown daughters and three grandchildren. Recently she has dared to call herself a sculptor and works with driftwood and stones.
Angela Hassenpflug, Conversation Team Volunteer...moved to Maine four years ago from Germany with her husband and two children. They built a new home in Bristol and she started her own small baking business. Angela is a board member and participates in a lot of aspects of the Greenfire community.
Jennifer Hope, Office Manager/Bookkeeper...supporting Greenfire’s mission resonates deeply with her inner beliefs. Jennifer is a level III Usui Reiki practitioner, working on her own spiritual healing and conscious living. She is also working on finishing her BA in Liberal Studies, with a minor in Behavioral Science.
Pat Taub, Conversation Team Volunteer...is a board member and freelance writer. She enjoys her additional role at Greenfire as the "world's oldest living intern," in which capacity assists in various aspects of the Greenfire community. Pat's introduction to Greenfire was at a Sunday service when the topic was "home;" Greenfire has been her spiritual home ever since.
Adelaide Winstead, Conversation Team Volunteer...has been on the Greenfire board since its beginning, coming to Maine twice a year for meetings and a visit. She taught and created commissioned art work of fabric before leaving Virginia eight years ago and moving to Maine with her husband. They built a house on the water near Greenfire, and now she spends her time participating in the work of Greenfire. She also convenes the Sunday morning gathering.
